Filtering
 

Omaya has a built in filtering engine that can automatically filter other sensors or Wi-Fi equipment to distinguish between users and permanent devices such as Wi-Fi printer or Wi-Fi CCTV and others wireless enabled equipment. To access the filtering module click on Configuration > Filtering from the navigation.
 

OUI FILTERING
 

An OUI or Organizationally Unique Identifier is a number that uniquely identifies a vendor or manufacturer that are purchased and assigned by the IEEE.
 

You can choose to Enable or Disable OUI Filtering then click save button. If click “Enable OUI Filtering”, the system will count only valid MAC Address based on OUI Database, and if you click “Disable OUI Filtering”, the system will count all MAC Address.

Random MAC Address Filtering
 

Random MAC Address is a privacy technique filtering where mobile devices rotate through random hardware address. The main purpose is to prevent observers from singling out their traffic or physical location from nearby devices.
 

You can choose to Enable or Disable Filtering then click save button. If click “Enable Filtering”, the system will exclude Random MAC Address from all calculation , and if you click “Disable Filtering”, the system will count all MAC Address.

Dwell filtering
 

Dwell Filtering will remove or ignore devices that dwell time less than 1 minute from calculation.Dwell time is the time set that constitute user as engaged for the sensor.
 

You can choose to Enable or Disable Dwell Filtering then click save button. If click “Enable Dwell Filtering”, the system will ignore user with dwell time zero or less than 1 minute , and if you click “Disable Dwell Filtering”, the system will count all device.
